Vineet Yadav is a final-year undergraduate at IIT Kanpur majoring in Civil Engineering with a minor in Industrial and Management Engineering. He has a deep interest in the field of data science and loves working on technologies like Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. Vineet is an incoming SWE at Legato Health Technology. Currently, Vineet works as a Data Scientist at Pragmatic Leaders (YC W21), where he evaluates sentiments of resume points using SentimentIntensityAnalyzer, sentence polarity, and subjectivity using TextBlob. He also computes the similarity between the resume and job description using Cosine similarity based on extracted skills, key phrases from the resume, and JD. Vineet utilizes NLTK to check if the resume point is in past tense or not, is in the active voice or not, and starts with an action verb or not. He also extracted bullet points from the resume using text preprocessing and used the language tool python to check grammar and spelling mistakes. Vineet derived experience required from the job description and total experience from the resume taking use of RegEx and Pyresparser. Before joining Pragmatic Leaders, Vineet served as Secretary of the Hockey Team at Games and Sports Council, IIT Kanpur. He loves playing Hockey and going out on long rides with friends. Vineet has a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from IIT Kanpur, expected to graduate in 2023. He also completed his Intermediate from Central Hindu Boys School in 2019 and High School from Udai Pratap Inter College, Varanasi in 2017. Vineet's tech stack includes Data Scientist, Research Scientist, Software Engineer, Python, and ML. He has 0.95 years of relevant experience and is always looking for new opportunities to learn and grow.
