Vipan Kumar is a passionate Full Stack developer with 2 years of experience in designing and building web applications. He likes to develop products that require very minimal human interaction and has built software in his recent organization just for his personal use to reduce manual labor. Vipan is a problem solver and enjoys sharing his knowledge and experience. He has solved challenging problems in his recent organization, such as developing a reporting engine that could decide the order in which the data needs to be fetched from AWS and a third-party ad server. He developed the reporting engine using Java with VertX and deployed techniques like data chunking, asynchronous calculations, timeout retries, and completable futures to optimize latencies. As a result of this deployment, he was able to reduce the latency of reporting engine APIs to 6 seconds. Currently working at Makemytrip as a Software Engineer, Vipan has architected and built an Admin application for his team completely from scratch. He ensured the independence of components and tried to create each component as generic as possible. He used React hooks along with Redux for state management and react-beautiful-dnd for building drag and drop functionalities. He reduced the initial loading time of the application by 40% using lazy loading and used error boundaries to handle unwanted rendering errors. He also implemented custom middleware in the backend for authentication purposes and handled route redirection for "Not found" routes. In addition, Vipan designed and built a configuration service in Java based on event architecture for handling all the configurations related to serving advertisements. He used caching to optimize the service for better performance. He also built a reporting engine in Java from scratch that combined data from different platforms and exposed it using API for the frontend. He used techniques like caching, Chunking of data, parallel calculations to optimize for latencies. Vipan has worked as a Research And Development Intern at Nagarro and as a Full-stack Developer Intern at TUITSOFT. He has a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science from IIIT Delhi and completed his Intermediate education from Army Public School Dhaula Kuan.
