Vipin S is a Lead Automation Engineer with over 16 years of relevant experience in automation testing using Python, Behave, Selenium, and Robot framework, PyTest, and automation framework development. He has in-depth and working experience with cloud-native, microservices, and containers architecture such as Docker and Kubernetes. Vipin takes lead responsibility in the end-to-end Test Cycle, including Test Design, Execution, and automation. He also has experience in Agile/scrum/DevOps practices and assesses impacts based on system level interactions due to new features and suggests possible changes needed in existing automated test suites to simplify the regression testing. Currently working at Nokia, Vipin is responsible for automating functional test cases using Behave framework, Robot automation framework, Selenium, and Python. He helps to define acceptance/exit criteria of features ready for development and investigates new technologies, techniques, and industry trends to improvise. Vipin also has thorough testing experience on SON (Self-Organizing Network) modules, such as Automatic Neighbor Relation creation, deletion, updation in 2G, 3G, LTE, and 5G technologies. Prior to Nokia, Vipin worked at TCS as an IT Analyst, where he automated manual daily tasks using shell/python scripts to increase productivity. He also developed and tested Nokia Performance Manager (NPM) software with multivendor (Ericsson, Huawei, Siemens) support and continuously developed and enhanced automated test suites to improve efficiency. Vipin also investigated and analyzed root causes of technical issues/performance bottlenecks and created simulators in Python that generated required files in xml, csv, text formats. Before TCS, Vipin worked at Reliance as a Transmission Engineer, where he was responsible for installation and commissioning of SDH and PDH network elements, upgrading the optical/microwave transmission links in maintenance window, remote monitoring of Network Elements through Network Management system, Alarm logging, Trouble shooting, and reporting the faults and clearing the Faults. He also performed breakdown, corrective and preventive maintenance of the Transport Elements up to STM 64 level, Radio SDH&PDH for microwave equipment’s using NMS and provisioned and tested circuits to Switches, PoI, BTS, DLC, DCN, RDN, etc. through NMS.
