Vipul Gupta is a passionate and dedicated software engineer with a strong background in open-source development and documentation. He is currently working as an SDE at balena_io, where he focuses on re-engineering the documentation and content flow for the company. In addition to his full-time job, Vipul runs his own documentation initiative called Mixster, which helps early-stage startups and organizations write OSS docs. Vipul is also an adventure hobbyist, a voracious reader, and a frequent speaker at conferences, meetups, and podcasts. He is actively involved in growing FOSS communities and helps out with PyCon India, where he has been the Comms Workgroup lead for the past 3 years. He also mentors students at his alma mater and advocates strongly for open-source contributions, better docs, solo backpacking trips, and party parrots. With almost 3 years of relevant experience, Vipul has a strong technical background in software engineering, testing, Python, web development, and CI/CD. He holds an Engineer’s Degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Amity University and completed his high school education at Bal Bharati Public School, Noida. In his personal time, Vipul can be found writing on his blog, Mixster, headhunting, running a newsletter, and posting quality rants on social media.
