Vipul Teotia is a skilled Software Engineer with over 5 years of experience in the industry. Currently working as an SWE-III at Google, he has previously worked with top tech companies like Amazon and CureFit. Vipul is proficient in a range of programming languages including C++, Java, Spring, Python, Flask, NodeJS, and React. He has a strong background in developing backend systems and is well-versed in technologies like Spark, MongoDB, Kafka, and ETL. At CureFit, Vipul played a key role in developing the payout automation feature for 3P clients, including doctors and therapists. He also worked on the Bharat Health Stack project, developing the backend flow for prescription and rating features for both doctors and patients. Vipul was responsible for revamping the data analytics platform of CureFit, involving the deprecation of Hevo ETL pipelines and creating Kafka and Spark-based pipelines that sink data to S3-based data lakes. He also maintained a custom version of Metabase with features like user-level timezone and relative time Mongo queries. During his time at Amazon, Vipul developed a Search interface library on ElasticSearch for fetching documents based on different term, range, and boolean queries. He was also responsible for suppressing best deals when coupons were sold out and played a key role in shutting Oracle down in deal creation service and deprecating the legacy pricing service as part of Amazon's wide project of Oracle shut down. Vipul holds a Bachelor of Technology degree in Information Technology from Delhi College of Engineering (now DTU).
