Viraj Amipara is a passionate and experienced software engineer with over 10 years of relevant experience. He is constantly seeking to build new skills and discover new, faster, better, cleaner, and more flexible ways to develop and scale software applications. Currently, he is working as a Lead Software Engineer at EPAM Systems. Viraj has worked with various companies in the past, including Infor and eInfochips, where he held the positions of Senior Software Engineer and Senior Engineer, respectively. At Infor, he was responsible for figuring out and implementing solutions that could help scale Birst applications on the cloud and appliance (on-premise) customers. He contributed backend code across product modules, containerized existing apps, and automated application configuration based on different environments for production. At eInfochips, he was responsible for developing software design, developing/reviewing code, contributing and improving architecture for enterprise applications covering Home Automation/Security, IoT, and Video Management Systems. He was also extensively involved in projects transitioning from legacy monoliths to cloud-native microservices using Spring Boot and Spring Cloud using Docker. Viraj holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Information Technology from Gujarat Technological University. His technical skills include Software Engineering, Spring, Docker, Big Data, Java, Kubernetes, MongoDB, Backend, Spring Boot, and Microservices.
