Viraj Awati is a seasoned professional with over 17 years of experience in the IT industry. He currently holds the position of India Head - Automation and Global Head - ServiceNow SSC at T-Systems (Deutsche Telekom Group Company). Throughout his career, Viraj has worked with 4 organizations, served 25 customers across 17 countries and 50 locations, and has been exposed to 25 different cultures. He has incubated three teams and climbed the ranks from Jr. Engineer to Head of Delivery. Viraj is a trusted advisor and mentor to many, a technologist, an innovative thinker, a management professional, and a leader who never says no. He is passionate about his work and believes that every problem is an opportunity. He has grown through his career by converting every problem into a step towards success. Currently, Viraj is working in a dual role for T-Systems India as a Delivery Head for Automation in India and Global Head for ServiceNow Shared Service Center. He has built a team from scratch, which has grown from zero to a significant number in just a few months. This team is changing the automation landscape for T-Systems and its customers with its expertise in niche areas like ServiceNow, RPA, Low Code Platforms (Pega, WaveMaker), MicroFocus (HP), AI/ML, and IPA. Viraj is skilled in strategy and plan of action, global talent management, business analysis, service management/automation, agile software development, mentoring, solution architecture, and cross-culture bridging. He excels in shaping careers, building teams from scratch, setting up competency centers globally, leading technically on the latest trends, finding opportunities and providing solutions, and complete life-cycle management of a delivery unit. Viraj has worked with some amazing organizations and some even more amazing people along the way. He believes in enjoying the journey rather than just focusing on targets and P&L. Viraj is an open and transparent leader who makes strategic decisions to impact areas of importance. He envisions and drives the culture of enterprise automation, not limited to a particular domain or stack. He is expanding into newer geographic locations, building a Global CoE for ServiceNow and Automation driven out of India, and incubating a culture of innovation in the organization to build an Automation App culture. Viraj holds a Master Class in Program Management from Cranfield University, a Master's in Business Analysis from The George Washington University, and a Bachelor's in Engineering
