Viraj Chavan is a skilled Full Stack Software Engineer with over 5 years of relevant experience. Currently, Viraj is working as a Software Engineer at Silicon Valley Insight, where he has contributed to several projects, including Luce and Avenue8.com. He built the backend for the Luce service, which allows people to book cleaning services and manages the on-demand assignment of jobs to employees. Additionally, he implemented the Billing component with tax compliant calculations and integrated a 2-way sync with Xero API, enabling payments through Stripe API. For Avenue8.com, he designed and implemented a GraphQL API on top of PostgreSQL to be used by a frontend Gatsby app. Viraj also improved and extended the backend for generic modules being used in multiple projects in SVI. Before joining Silicon Valley Insight, Viraj worked as a Web Application Developer at Directi, where he designed, developed, and maintained features for an application distribution platform. He also built front-end web applications having more than a million impressions a day and built an employee data management system using NodeJs, MongoDB, GraphQL & React for 1.3k+ employees. Viraj has also worked as a Software Engineer at Josh Software, where he designed, developed, and tested new features in the system (back-end and front-end) for quickinsure.co.in. Viraj holds a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Information Technology from Walchand College of Engineering and has completed HSC and SSC from Yashwantrao Chavan Warana Mahavidyalaya and Shree Warana Vidyalaya, respectively.
