Viraj is an experienced Engineering Manager with a passion for FinTech and SaaS. He holds a Master's degree in Information Systems from the National University of Singapore, and has worked for both SigFig and Credit Suisse, where he gained valuable experience and knowledge in Leadership and Teamwork. Viraj is a firm believer in the 3 P's: Passion, Perfection, and Patience. He believes that if you patiently strive for perfection in your passion, you can become a successful individual. He is an enthusiastic and motivated individual who is dedicated to adhering to great Software Engineering practices. Viraj has experience coding in web technologies such as ReactJS, Node.js, Kotlin, Vanilla Javascript/JQuery, HTML, and CSS. He is also skilled in product management, microservices, and AI/ML-based technologies. He has actively used Git, JIRA, and AWS for Agile development and CI/CD. In his previous role as Senior Software Engineer at Hatcher+, Viraj was responsible for building a next-generation, data-driven web platform that uses AI/ML-based technologies to identify early-stage opportunities in partnership with leading accelerators and investors, worldwide. He also developed a robust and scalable web platform (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP) for Accelerators and Venture Capitalists to manage their investments and startup portfolios. As a Full Stack Developer at Credit Suisse, Viraj was responsible for developing "Software as a Service" solutions to expose the risk platform capabilities to internal Credit Suisse users and systems. He championed the adoption of Linux to build a containerized micro-service architecture for all the services. He also closely collaborated with global front-office traders and middle office users with an open mind-set to shape features and improvements with cutting-edge front-to-back technologies such as Kotlin, NodeJS, ReactJS + Redux, and CSS. Viraj's education includes a Bachelor of Engineering Honors (B.Eng. Hons) in Computer Engineering from the National University of Singapore and an International Baccalaureate from Cathedral Vidya School Lonavala. He is a Singapore citizen with 4.86 years of relevant experience.
