Viraj Padte is an AWS Certified Architect and Developer with 6 years of experience in consulting, programming, architecting, and deploying production-grade software. He specializes in Microservices, AWS, Hybrid Cloud Architectures, Serverless Architectures, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and CloudFormation. He is passionate about building autoscaling software systems, architecting cloud-native applications, and designing CI/CD pipelines for complex deployment environments. Currently, Viraj is working as a Lead Cloud Engineer - AWS at billgo, where he is responsible for Solutions & Cloud Architecture and Implementation. He has authored terraform modules with best practices for core infrastructure patterns like multi-region EC2 deployment module, multi-region S3 replication module, and multi-region serverless sftp module. He has also re-architected existing infrastructure stacks for multiple product teams to leverage cloud-native managed services to improve resiliency and overall deployment experience. In the past, Viraj has worked as a Cloud Architect and Software Engineer at Data Ductus, where he has architected the entire cloud stack for various projects by utilizing various AWS services like CloudFront, ALB, Site-to-Site VPN, Cognito, ECS, SQS, API Gateway, etc. He has also developed a proof of concept for the device management layer to IoT fleet deployments using AWS Greengrass and architected a Serverless backend using AWS Lambda in combination with other managed services like DynamoDB, SNS, SES to create an alarm processing and notification backend for a fleet of IoT devices. Viraj has a Master of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Colorado State University and a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics and Telecommunication from Dwarkadas J Sanghvi College of Engineering.
