Virat Singh is a Senior Machine Learning Engineer with over 3 years of experience in the field of ML. He started his career as a research scientist, working on several hefty problems of Computer Vision and NLP. After gaining expertise in ML, he stepped up to a leadership role where he led the ML department from conception of the idea to production deployment and client engagement, basically ML to MLOps. In these 3 years, he has become more than able in developing and deploying ML products, keeping in mind the business intricacies and client needs and wants. Currently working at ASCENTIA.AI in a consultant capacity, Virat has trained the Translation model using Transformers and set up architecture for On-Premise API deployment. He is also working on integrating NEO-API for the wallet. In the past, he has worked with companies like Translateme and Invoid in a consultant and senior ML engineer capacity, respectively. At Invoid, he led the ML and Architecture Design for Deployments and worked on Computer Vision using Python and ML (OpenCV, SVM, YOLO, UNet) for preprocessing of images for OCR. He also trained models for in-house OCRs using Tesseract and FaceRec using CNNs and MxNet. Virat has experience in building Solution Architectures for on-premise CPU/GPU production deployments and Kubernetes, Application Level Routing, and Auto Scaling for Load Balancing. He has also built ML APIs using Flask, Gunicorn, Nginx, Sockets, and integrated ML models with APIs to showcase inference and better testing ability. Further, Virat has optimized models (via tflite or pkl) for less response time and on-edge deployment. Virat holds a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Computer Science from B K Birla Institute of Engineering & Technology, Pilani. His technical expertise includes ML, AI, Computer Vision, NLP, SVM, OpenCV, Python, Kubernetes, Flask, and Integration. With 4.69 years of relevant experience, Virat has a proven track record of delivering high-quality ML solutions and leading teams from ideation to deployment.
