Viresh Gehlawat is an accomplished Engineering Manager with over 8 years of relevant experience. Currently, he is leading the Core Checkout Platform team at Bolt, where he is responsible for redefining the checkout experience through social commerce. Prior to this, Viresh built the Remote Checkout team, which was highly successful in delivering an exceptional checkout experience. Viresh started his career at Flipkart as a Software Development Engineer II, where he built a platform for computing machine learning-based user insights to upgrade the existing Map Reduce based stack. He also presented the architecture in SlashN, the flagship technical conference of Flipkart. Viresh then joined Uber as a Senior Software Engineer, where he designed the Policy Engine platform that allowed Uber to automate the majority of its customer support traffic while keeping the customer satisfaction and engagement high. He also delivered the cross-functional project to optimize how customer support tickets are classified and resolved at Uber through Natural Language Processing. Additionally, Viresh designed and delivered the Driver Dost app that enriches the driver supply for Uber across multiple continents. Viresh's expertise includes P2P, ML, infra, NLP, Backend, and Software Engineering. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati. Viresh's exceptional work has been recognized by the CTO for the impact made to Uber and to the end customers. He is a highly motivated individual with a passion for delivering exceptional results.
