Vish Upadhyay is a highly experienced software engineer with over 10 years of experience in developing scalable internet and cloud computing multi-tiered applications. He is a lifelong learner and passionate about building distributed architectures, designing security solutions, brainstorming, and problem-solving. Vish has a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E) in Computer Science from Manipal Institute of Technology, Karnataka, India. Vish is skilled in developing scalable REST web services using Java, event-driven and asynchronous models software development, cloud-native development using AWS, NoSQL databases primarily HBase, relational databases, machine learning familiarity, and data analytics using the Hadoop ecosystem. He is also interested in AI-based technologies such as autonomous cars. Vish has experience in analyzing complex internet-scale data sets to report meaningful conclusions. He has used the Hadoop ecosystem to play with the data. His engagement with information retrieval projects raised his curiosity about predictive analytics, machine learning, and statistical models, so he has begun learning data science skills by enrolling in data science courses. Currently, Vish is working as a software engineer at Wipro, where he has designed and developed an automation tool to test the performance of network elements using UNIX Shell and Perl as primary languages. He has also implemented new features in the Network Management System (NMS) using Java as the primary language to code software. Vish has worked on writing junit and jfcunit-based test cases to achieve at least 95% code coverage in various components of NMS. In the past, Vish has worked at Motorola as a software engineer, where he worked on writing new features for a distributed Element Management System (EMS) using Core Java as the main primary programming language. He has also worked at Yahoo as a Tech Yahoo, Software Dev Eng Sr, where he architected the backend for a Java-based distributed system that manages the life cycle of Yahoo accounts. Vish has hands-on experience in analyzing petabytes of data using the Hadoop ecosystem (HBase, Pig, Oozie) and writing Map Reduce jobs in Java and Pig. He has also developed node.js and express-based single-page applications. Overall, Vish has relevant experience of 17.45 years and is skilled in building scalable software, designing security solutions, and analyzing complex data sets. He is a quick learner and always looking to expand his skill set.
