Visha Vijayanand is an experienced professional with a diverse background in community management, entrepreneurship, and fashion. Currently serving as the Experience Lead at On Deck, Visha is responsible for overseeing the Founder Fellowship Experience. Prior to her current role, Visha worked as an Alumni Success Officer at Next Canada, where she managed a community of 700 entrepreneurs who graduated from NEXT accelerator programs. She also ran a world-class alumni program for Canada's most promising entrepreneurs and planned an annual retreat to bring cohorts of all years and programs together. During her time at Next Canada, Visha increased user retention to NEXT events and programming from lapsed alumni by 80% by curating sub-networks and relevant content for each company's industry and tech stack. She used insights from the community to drive recruitment into future programs and utilized tools like Hivebrite, Meltwater, Salesforce, and Lumen5 to handle contacts and storytelling. Visha was also a Community Account Manager for Facebook, LinkedIn, and Slack. In addition to her community management experience, Visha is also a Co-Founder of Poche Posh, a fashion brand that empowers women by providing quality women's fashion with deep pockets for all their needs. She grew a community of women to 2000 members who love trendy functional clothing, inclusive sizing, and diverse models. Visha raised a pre-seed round of $100k and co-managed the Shopify store, US fulfillment center, social channels (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter), and Mailchimp newsletter. She also worked with influencers and growth marketers to promote the brand. Visha holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Computer Science from the University of Waterloo, where she graduated in 2017. She also holds a High School Diploma from Los Osos High School. Visha's tech stack includes Salesforce, and she has 6.28 years of relevant experience.
