Vishakh Hegde is a highly skilled researcher and problem solver with a passion for machine learning, computer vision, and software engineering. He is driven by a desire to learn new things and develop innovative solutions to real-world challenges. With over seven years of relevant experience, Vishakh has proven himself to be an expert in his field. Currently, Vishakh is a Senior Applied Research Scientist at ambient.ai, where he is responsible for the full life-cycle management of multiple parts of the vision stack, including detection, classification, object tracking, and time series processing. He also oversees data collection, annotation, quality check, deployment and monitoring, training and evaluation, end-end ML tests, and compute constrained environments. Prior to his current role, Vishakh worked as a Data Scientist at Schlumberger, where he developed computer vision algorithms for subsurface seismic data and machine learning models for oil field decision making advisory systems. He was also responsible for recruiting liaison for Stanford, Berkeley, and Caltech. Vishakh holds a Master of Science degree in Computational and Mathematical Engineering from Stanford University, where he also worked as a Research Assistant on machine learning and computer vision for CERN's Large Hadron Collider data. He obtained his Bachelor of Science (honors) and Master of Science degrees from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, where he achieved a remarkable 98.08% in his field of study. Vishakh is a highly motivated individual who thrives when working with a group of amazing and hardworking people on a shared vision that can impact the world and create value out of sheer human ingenuity.
