Vishal Arora is an experienced Senior Software Engineer with a proven track record of working in the e-commerce and payments industry. He has a vast experience in building highly scalable distributed systems from scratch and delivering end-to-end products. Vishal is skilled in Java Technologies and other programming languages. He holds an M.Tech. Integrated degree in Mathematics and Computing from the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi. Currently, Vishal works as a Senior Software Engineer at Bolt. Prior to this, he worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Careem, where he was responsible for building disruptive Consumer Products at Careem PAY for the Middle East Region. Vishal led and developed several features, including Careem COVID19 Donations, Utility Bills and Payments, Mobile Recharges Revamp Project, P2P Revamp feature, and implemented a new fraud prevention trust tiering system in P2P product. He also single-handedly developed the negative credits platform for Careem Ride Hailing Domain and led the Careem & Uber Compliance Project for the whole Careem PAY team. Vishal also led the CVE mitigation project in the Wallet team for removing vulnerabilities from 13+ services. Prior to Careem, Vishal worked as a Technical Lead - Bus Marketplace at Paytm, where he was responsible for scaling up the Bus Marketplace. Vishal's education history includes an M.Tech. Integrated degree in Mathematics and Computing from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, and a degree from Delhi Public School. Vishal's technical skills include Software Engineering, P2P, Java, Mobile, and Senior Software Engineering. With almost 12 years of relevant experience, Vishal is a strong engineering professional with excellent leadership skills.
