Vishal Dewani is a dynamic software testing professional with over 7 years of experience in leading Healthcare IT, Telecom, and Financial Information & Analytics organizations. He is well-versed with all stages of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and has experience in testing client/server, cloud-based and web/mobile applications. As a Senior Quality Engineer at S&P Global, Vishal is involved in setting up test environments, test planning, RTM & test design, test execution, defect reporting, test status reporting, and test closure activities. He has hands-on experience in test automation, functional testing, black box testing, gray box testing, regression testing, UI/usability testing, API testing, integration testing, system testing, database testing, data migration, ad-hoc, exploratory, and UAT testing. Vishal has experience in writing SQL queries to view successful transactions of data and for validating data. He is also skilled in analyzing and investigating defects and faults, and tracing them till final resolution and test them on test environment. At S&P Global, Vishal has participated in User Story Grooming, Scrum meeting, Sprint Planning, Sprint retrospective, and Agile metrics meetings with Scrum Master, Product Owners, and Agile Team members. He has prepared the test strategies and discussed the testing goals for Sprint with the team, assigned the work to peers and self, documented test cases, and test data. He has mentored and trained other QA team members with the knowledge base of the software Products and QA processes. Vishal has worked with Ecosmob Technologies as a Senior Test Engineer where he interacted with business clients and project stakeholders to trickle down the technical/functional user requirements. He has designed and executed test cases & test scripts from business requirements & specification documents. He has performed regression testing, UI/UX testing, integration testing, system testing, API testing, database testing, data migration testing, localization testing, exploratory, and user acceptance testing. Vishal has a degree in Information Technology from LDRP-ITR and a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) from St. Mary's High School. He is an ISTQB-CTFL certified SAFe® 5 Practitioner and has expertise in Selenium, SDET, CI/CD, Jenkins, Python, Java, UI, SQL, Mobile, Integration, Web, and Software Engineering.
