Vishal Garimella is a highly skilled Software Engineer with a passion for NLP, Information Retrieval, Deep Learning, and AI. He is currently working at Microsoft in the Turing team, where he focuses on model compression and memory/runtime efficient deep learning. Vishal has gained valuable experience from his past internships, including a Summer Internship at Goldman Sachs and an Internship at the National Digital Library of India. At the National Digital Library of India, he was a member of the core back-end team, where he worked on NDL data correction, validation modules design, and unit testing of modules. He was also guided by Profs. P.P. Das and P. Bhowmick (CSE IIT-KGP) during his internship. Vishal holds a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science from IIT, where he graduated in December 2020. He has a strong technical skill set that includes Software Engineering, Deep Learning, Information Retrieval, AI, NLP, Backend, and testing. With over 2 years of relevant experience, Vishal is a highly motivated and dedicated professional who is always eager to learn and grow.
