Vishal is a passionate Software Engineer at Microsoft Azure Networking team with a keen interest in game development. With 2.87 years of relevant experience, he is skilled in various domains such as AI, Azure, Research Scientist, Deep Learning, Reinforcement Learning, Naive Bayes, RNN, test, Python, and Neural Networks. Currently, he is working at Microsoft as a Software Engineer in the Azure Networking - ExpressRoute team. He started his journey with Microsoft IDC with a goal to explore new challenges and opportunities in the field of software engineering. He is highly motivated and dedicated to his work, which is evident from his achievements. Prior to joining Microsoft, he worked as a Research Intern at Wadhwani AI, where he worked on the Anthropometry project. During his internship, he developed a smartphone-based application that helps frontline workers to screen for low-birth-weight babies in rural homes. He worked on the 3D reconstruction and registration of the baby from the video data captured, which helped in finding the weight of the baby. He also created a simulator for realistic synthetic data generation in Blender. This experience taught him the importance of proper execution of an idea and shape given to it. Before Wadhwani AI, he worked as a Research Intern at IBM. During his internship, he created a novel pipeline to tackle the Explainability problem in Deep Learning. He successfully explained the neural network implementation of Stanford Co-Reference Resolution System and extracted new rules to improve the existing "Stanford Deterministic Co-Reference Resolution System." Vishal holds a Mtech + Btech Dual Degree in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur. He is a highly skilled Software Engineer with a passion for game development and a strong interest in AI. He is always eager to learn new skills and technologies to enhance his knowledge.
