Vishal Gupta is a skilled software engineer with a focus on backend development. With over 5 years of relevant experience, he has worked extensively in the networking domain. Vishal has experience in enhancement, testing, and automation on Nexus 9k Switches and ASR9k Routers. He is skilled in network configuration protocols such as REST, NETCONF, gRPC, and their testing tools. Vishal has extensive programming experience in C, C++, and Python and is proficient in working with Agile development methodology. He performs effectively despite sudden deadlines and changing priorities. He has a good knowledge of languages such as C, C++, and Python and networking tools and protocols such as REST, NETCONF, GNMI, MACSEC, ISIS, and VLAN. Currently, Vishal is working as a Software Engineer 2 at Ivanti, where he continues to hone his skills in backend development. Prior to Ivanti, Vishal worked at Wipro as a Senior Project Engineer and Project Engineer. During his time at Wipro, he worked on a project involving Network Programmability using Data Management Engine (DME) on Nexus 9k DC switches. Vishal designed models for 40 CLIs in various components such as ACL, QoS, FEX, Macsec, Srv6, Tunnel-encryption and implemented YAML-based automation scripts to automate the UT phase for several CLIs. He also developed shell scripts to automate the code checkout and build process with an alert mechanism using email notification. Vishal implemented OpenConfig support for QoS model in DME. Vishal holds a Bachelor of Technology (BTech) in Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering from National Institute of Technology Raipur. He also has a background in Mathematics from BSP Senior Secondary School Sec.-10. In addition to his technical skills, Vishal is a team player who enjoys collaborating with others to achieve common goals. He is a quick learner who is always eager to expand his knowledge and skills in the field of software engineering.
