Vishal Jain is a Software Development Engineer-II at BookMyShow with over 6 years of relevant experience in developing distributed systems with high scale and optimal performance. He is an expert in Java, Golang, and Kotlin along with multiple frameworks. Currently, Vishal is handling BookMyShow Discovery, where he is responsible for building and maintaining ETL applications to ingest new events data and transform them to be integrated with the FrontEnd. He is also managing API aggregator applications for routing FrontEnd API calls to internal applications based on gRPC, HTTP REST. Vishal has defined scaling strategies and application observability based on grafana and AWS for a zero downtime experience. Additionally, he is developing and managing SEO applications that generate dynamic SEO content to improve site ranking for higher penetration for crawlers. Prior to BookMyShow, Vishal worked as a Senior Software Engineer at ConnectWise, where he handled WSO2-based integration for partners. He developed integration-specific sequences, AWS-based deployment of WSO2 with JVM tuning, and backed it by Jenkins pipeline for CI-CD. Vishal also worked on Golang-based backend services for integration with partners. He was also a Senior Software Engineer at Zycus, where he was part of the Zycus Integration product development team (iConsole). He developed an API gateway based on Spring Boot and APIMan (open source), API level security with 2-factor, OAuth2.0 protocol, and containerization based on Docker for the iConsole. Vishal holds a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Electrical, Electronic and Communications Engineering Technology/Technician from Thakur College of Engineering and Technology.
