Vishal Jain is an experienced Software Engineer with a strong background in Java, SQL, Leadership, Web-Services, and C programming language. He is currently working as a Software Engineer at Verizon Media (Yahoo) and holds a Masters degree in Computer Sciences, Data Science from Stony Brook University. With over 5 years of relevant experience, Vishal has a demonstrated history of working in the internet industry. He has worked on migration of real-time data storage from Druid Cluster to Vertica, modelling and deployment of multilevel user data through real-time API's onto Live-Metrics dashboard, hence reducing overall cluster cost from 3 million to 800K. He is currently building a complete user journey pipeline and targeting mechanism through segment creation functionality of Adobe Experience Platform on specific profile groups to seamlessly target user groups. Vishal has also worked as a Software Engineer Intern at Verizon where he improved the run frequency of an existing ads classification pipeline from 8 hours to 30 minutes. He also boosted the existing Auto-ML classifier’s accuracy from 70 percent to 84 percent by providing feedback data(auto training) on newly classified ads. Prior to this, he worked as a Technical Consultant at Wipro where he led and delivered 5+ cross-functional projects, mentored 3 new hires in the Maxis team, and reduced 40 man-hours/week to 5 by automating daily health check-ups for 32 Maxis applications. Vishal's education history includes a Masters degree in Computer Science from Stony Brook University, a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Computer Engineering from Jaypee Institute of Information Technology, and Senior Secondary School from Birla School Pilani.
