Vishal Joshi is a highly experienced Co-Founder & CEO at Joy, an innovative virtual wedding planning app that aims to bring families closer together during the wedding celebrations. With over 21 years of relevant experience, Vishal has a proven track record of success in the tech industry, having previously worked for Microsoft as a Group Product Manager. At Microsoft, he was part of the team that rebooted Microsoft Azure, where he led the team responsible for building the user experience for Azure, including properties like http://azure.com, http://portal.azure.com, and http://manage.azure.com. Additionally, Vishal's team built the API surface area that unifies all of the Azure services, and cloud PaaS services like Azure websites. Prior to his time at Microsoft, Vishal worked at West Bend Mutual Insurance as a Technology Architect, where he architected, designed, and developed n-tier software applications for different insurance business units. He also led the project on Automated Underwriting System and programmed and led programmers using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, ASP.NET, C#, VB, and SQL Server. Vishal holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electrical from NIT Rourkela. He is highly skilled in Azure, Web, dotNET, ASP.NET, product management, SQL, Senior Software Engineering, and JavaScript. Vishal is also a seasoned speaker and has spoken at dozens of conferences on web and cloud technologies, including keynotes at several Microsoft events both within the US and internationally like TechEd, PDC, CodeCamps, DevDays, and //Build.
