Vishal Kalra is an experienced Software Engineer with over 7 years of relevant experience in building highly scalable and robust products, primarily in the e-commerce domain. Currently working with Zalando, Europe's largest e-commerce retail for fashion, Vishal is responsible for building scalable microservices as part of the Merchant orders team. His tech stack comprises Scala, Postgres, Aws, Kubernetes, Kafka based in-house event messaging (Nakadi). His previous work experience includes working with Paytm and Nearbuy as a Software Engineer. He has worked with other technologies earlier, including Java, Spring, Hibernate, REST, microservices, etc. As a Software Engineer, Vishal has been part of the merchant orders team, where he has developed and scaled microservices to improve the ordering experience of the customers as well as enabling seamless integrations in the Zalando orders ecosystem for partners selling on the Zalando platform. Vishal holds a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree from Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology (NSIT). He has a strong technical background with expertise in Software Engineering, Microservices, AWS, Kubernetes, Kafka, Spring, Postgres, Scala, and Java.
