Vishal Kanakamamidi is a highly skilled Software Development Engineer with a passion for solving complex problems. He has over 2 years of relevant experience in the field of computer science and has worked on various projects related to computer vision, object detection, and deep learning. Vishal is currently working as an SDE -1 at tradelab, where he is responsible for developing backend solutions. Vishal's educational background includes a B.Tech (Hons.) degree in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Information Technology Kottayam (IIIT). During his time at IIIT, Vishal gained a strong foundation in software engineering, backend development, and computer vision. Vishal has also worked as a Deep Learning Intern at Bosch, where he was responsible for developing algorithms for license plate detection and classification of front and rear parts of 2 and 4 wheeler vehicles. He achieved an mAP of 95% for license plate detection and an accuracy of 92% for vehicle classification. Vishal is also working on OCR (Optical Character Recognition) using Keras OCR and Tesseract OCR. As a Computer Vision Research Intern at 56 Secure, Vishal developed a system that performed facial recognition for a large database of 30,000 face encodings with 99% accuracy. He also worked on recognizing license plate numbers using OCR. Vishal used the FAISS search technique by Facebook and FaceNet encoding for facial recognition. Vishal's tech stack includes software engineering, backend development, computer vision, object detection, deep learning, frontend development, Keras, object detection, research scientist, FaceNet, and search.
