Vishal Raj is an experienced Software Engineer with a passion for Distributed Systems, Computer Networks, SRE & cloud computing. He is currently pursuing an MS in Software Engineering at Northeastern University. Vishal has a demonstrated history of implementing scalable and multi-tenant microservices for client channels like web, mobile, etc. He also has experience with front-end technologies for web as well as mobile. Vishal's programming languages of choice are Java, Golang, and Javascript. He aspires to work as an engineer in the back-end/platform engineering space in the future. Vishal is currently working as a Full Stack Engineer at Incnut Digital, where he is responsible for designing systems, services, and applications (web, Android, and iOS) to cater to new generation feedback-driven e-commerce product initiatives, namely Skinkraft and Vedix. He has also developed a conversational chatbot engine, a ws (websocket) server enabling a highly available 24*7 Customer Service decreasing average customer waiting time from 1 day of 2 minutes. Vishal has migrated static assets from AWS Amplify to CloudFront distributions which reduced operational costs by 50%. He is an active early contributor to the first iteration of the Mobile App for iOS/Android for Skinkraft. Vishal has previously worked as a Software Engineer at HSBC, where he developed multi-tenant, scalable, and fault-tolerant REST APIs for authentication/authorization strategies. He also developed a library to test circuit breakers within microservices for fault tolerance aligning with chaos engineering principles. Vishal migrated on-premises infra components to Kubernetes clusters (EKS) including integration with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, AWS Secret Manager, Splunk, AppDynamics, etc. which reduced significant operation costs and increases availability to five 9s (99.999%). Vishal has also worked as a Development & Operations Intern at TapChief, where he facilitated in Operations Management with designing HTML templates for Django mail-queue management targeting user communication. He accelerated targeting niches like Data Science, Cyber Security, AI, ML, etc that helped in scaling expert supply with respect to demand. Furthermore, he aided in the categorization of aforementioned niches to align supply with the product update i.e. TapChief 2.0. Vishal headed the development of the Business Facing Product (White Label) for B2B clients like UpGrad, Simplilearn, Imarticus, etc
