Vishal Saxena is a highly skilled software engineer with over 13 years of relevant experience. He is currently working at Google as a Software Engineer, where he is responsible for developing and maintaining software systems. Prior to this, he has worked at Amazon and Goldman Sachs in various software engineering roles. During his time at Amazon, Vishal worked as a Lead Engineer in Prime Video X-Ray backend. He was responsible for defining the long-term tech strategy and guiding the team on design, execution, delivery, and operational excellence. He has extensive experience in building data ingestion and pre-processing platforms, microservices, and continuous integration (CI) and continuous delivery (CD) pipelines. He has also worked on the integration of Alexa for voice-controlled X-Ray experience. Vishal has worked on several key projects during his time at Amazon. He built the X-Ray Live Sports experience from scratch, which included designing and delivering a microservice architecture platform to ingest and aggregate sports event updates from multiple sources in real-time. He also developed contingency levers to handle missing/incorrect data during the course of live games. Additionally, he spearheaded the Live Sports Data Simulator project to enable testing of new features and enhancements without depending on a real live sports event. Vishal holds a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) degree in Information Technology from MNNIT. He has a strong tech stack that includes software engineering, integration, CI/CD, testing, microservices, and backend development.
