Vishal Sinha is an experienced Software Engineer with 4.5 years of experience in the computer networking industry. He is a strong engineering professional with skills in C, Data Structures, Linux, and OS. Currently, he is working as a Software Engineer II at Cisco, where he is a part of the SANet (Session Aware Networking) team. His work involves developing and sustaining protocols and authentication methods used to provide secure network access and enable user and/or group and policy-based access control in Cisco networks. Vishal has worked on L2/L3 authentication using 802.1X, MAB for wired and wireless switches using RADIUS. He has also worked on Cisco IOS/IOS-XE and Polaris OS based platforms for Catalyst line of switches - Cat 2k, 3k, 4k, 6k, 3850, and 5760 WLCs. He is skilled in working on L2 security protocols 802.1x with EAP framework for wired and wireless switches using RADIUS. Vishal has also worked on a device sensor, which is an integral part of Layer 2 switches. The purpose of this module is to cache the protocol attributes sent by end clients, which contain a lot of useful information that interested clients of device sensor like SANet, Device Classifier can use to classify devices with varying levels of granularity. Prior to his current role, Vishal worked as a Software Engineer at Cisco, where he initially worked in the ISG (Intelligent Services Gateway) DevTest team for 3 months. Later on, he shifted to the SANet Dev team. He has also worked as a Project Intern at Oracle, where he worked in the Unified Automation Team on automation of test cases of Oracle Retail suite of products. Vishal holds a Master of Technology degree in Software Systems WILP from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, which he completed in 2018. He also holds an M.Sc(Tech) degree in Information Systems from the same institute, which he completed in 2013. Vishal completed his schooling from Apeejay School in 2009. Vishal's technical skills include Software Engineering, SQL, iOS, Azure, Databricks, Python, Kubernetes, Integration, Backend, AI, test, Javascript, DevOps, ETL, ui, and Senior Software Engineering.
