Vishal Srivastava is a seasoned professional with over 11 years of relevant experience in the field of data science, strategy, analytics, and engineering. He is currently working as the SVP - Head of Merchants & Insights Data Service at Goldman Sachs, where he leads a cross-functional team of talented, diverse, and geo-distributed individuals to build merchant services for their BaaS/Fraud strategy and user insight service for unique product features such as spending tools, recurring expenses, bill pay, etc. He is also responsible for driving up customer LTV, retention, and engagement. Prior to this, Vishal was the Chief Data Scientist - Marcus (Digital Storefront) at Goldman Sachs, where he managed all aspects of data science, strategy, analytics, and engineering for their digital business and Clarity Money app. Reporting to the CEO of the business, he built APIs, services, and product features by applying algorithms, machine learning, AI, and NLP on top of user's financial data to help them better manage their finances. All his work was driven by one mission - to make financial management easier for users. Apart from his work at Goldman Sachs, Vishal is also an advisor/investor to various startups. He advises them on product, tech architecture, and data strategy and does about 2-3 angel investments every year, usually in pre-seed rounds. He holds a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Technology degree in Information Technology from Cochin University. Vishal is a highly skilled senior software engineer with expertise in data science, machine learning, AI, and NLP. He has a strong track record of delivering successful projects and driving business growth. He is a strategic thinker with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
