Vishal Swarankar is a highly experienced technical architect with a proven track record of delivering petabyte-scale distributed systems with high throughput and low latency. With over 17 years of relevant experience, he has a deep understanding of data platform systems with infinite scale, linear throughput scaling, and constant latency. He has a rich experience in building high-performance and geographically distributed scalable and fault-tolerant enterprise-grade large dataset systems. Vishal has the ability to break down requirements and problems into fundamental algorithms and engineer solutions that are sound, scalable, and robust. He has delivered multiple products in the area of petabyte scale/performance, distributed data storage/services, distributed caching, and distributed system management. He has deep experience in developing systems around low latency, high throughput, containers, dockers, Kubernetes, public/private/hybrid cloud. In addition to his technical expertise, Vishal has experience in building products and teams from scratch. He has driven the product and team from inception to acquisition, and has been responsible for running engineering and product of a company with complete responsibility of people/delivery and architecture. He has experience of managing/hiring of Developers/QA/Security/DevOps/Leads/Sales/Customers/SREs. He has maintained close to zero attrition rate with multiple product deliveries and PoCs. He has experience in running complete engineering and product from India with CXOs in the US. Vishal has a B.Tech degree in Computer Science from IIT. His technical skills include senior software engineering, QA, Kubernetes, and DevOps. He has worked with companies such as ThoughtSpot and 8kpc, where he was responsible for architecture, delivery, product, and people. At 8kpc, he was the founding engineer and drove engineering and product from scratch to successful acquisition of the company in Bangalore with CXOs in the US. He has overseen multiple global strategic partnerships with enterprise companies.
