Vishal is an accomplished Technical Lead at Intel Corporation with over 16 years of experience in the field of SoC/ASIC/System Prototyping and Emulation, Platform Architecture, Embedded Software, SoC Bring Up, Validation, Physical layer communication systems design, OFDM & OFDMA, channel coding for communications, computer networks - wireless LANs. He is a highly motivated, innovative, and tenacious individual with a demonstrated measurable track record of experiences and accomplishments. Vishal is a leader in a highly productive and innovative team that works closely with key product teams in SoC Prototype development and software development. He is a key member of 5+ commercially successful wireless chip designs and actively contributes to ongoing research projects. Currently working as a Research Scientist at Intel, Vishal is a core member of the ADR Team (Advanced Design Research) and investigates the feasibility of applying concepts to potential inventions and products typically 7+ years prior to landing on a product roadmap. He is responsible for power/area/performance-driven architecture and microarchitecture optimization of CPU, GPU, interconnect fabric, and SoC platform architecture. Vishal is also involved in FPGA emulation and prototyping of key design IP and SoC. In his past roles at Intel, Vishal has led the partner with Software/Validation on Pre-Si FPGA Platform for SoC, enabled Android/audio/imaging/sensors and UC's for external customers. He has also managed a FPGA Transition virtual team with 7+ engineers and driven commonality across two cross-org forums with 15+ active participants (CAD/IP/Validation/SW) for Full Chip FPGA initiative, Validation Tools, and flows. Vishal has also been a key member of 5+ commercially successful wireless chip designs and has been a pro-active staff member of the Architecture and Emulation Team focusing on Bluetooth Core. Vishal holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Texas A&M University, an MS in Electrical Engineering from Texas A&M University, and a B. Tech. in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay. He is well-versed in a wide range of technologies, including Senior Software Engineer, Research Scientist, Javascript, NodeJS, Java, Software Engineer, ML, AWS, Recommendation system, test, qa, Microservices, and Android.
