Vishal Verma is a seasoned operations and strategy executive with over a decade of experience in leading cross-functional teams across Asia, Europe, and Latin America. He is currently the Transformation Director for Europe at Getir, a rapidly growing ten-minute grocery delivery service. Vishal's previous role was as the CEO and Co-founder of Blok, a ten-minute grocery delivery service with a significant presence in Spain and Italy. He successfully exited the company to Getir in July 2021. Prior to that, he led new business teams globally for Glovo and was the VP of Operations for Lazada, Southeast Asia's leading e-commerce platform. He also led operations for multiple geographies at Uber and UberEats. Vishal is passionate about the environment and sustainable technologies. He has taken a voluntary sabbatical to travel the world and has worked on several projects related to reducing waste and recycling. As an independent consultant, he has helped companies raise funding, engage with micro-mobility leaders, and launch sustainable food packaging projects. Vishal holds an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Indore, and the Asian Institute of Management. He also has a diploma in Entrepreneurship and Business Management from the Entrepreneurship Development Institute and a Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Telecommunication from Amravati University. He is a Senior Software Engineer with over 11 years of relevant experience. Vishal is a visionary leader with a track record of building successful businesses and leading global teams.
