Vishal Vijay is a seasoned software engineer, entrepreneur, and mentor with over 8 years of experience building consumer-facing software. He is a skilled full-stack developer with expertise in cloud computing, scaling infrastructure, and RoR/Node.js/React/Android technologies. He is an expert in creating scalable systems from scratch and is known as a 10x engineer. Currently, Vishal works as a Software Engineer at Meta, where he is responsible for developing cutting-edge software solutions. Prior to Meta, he worked as a Software Development Engineer IV at Khatabook, where he led the engineering of Khatabook's commerce vertical, MyStore, and BizMart. He was also responsible for leading the web engineering team and contributed equally to both backend and web frontend development. Vishal used core technologies such as AWS, Kubernetes, Netlify, Serverless Stack, NestJS, NextJS, React, Elasticsearch, SQS, Cognito, Microservices, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, NodeJS, and TypeScript to build scalable systems. Vishal is also a Co-Founder and CTO of FareFirst, a global online travel company. He is responsible for delivering and aligning the A-Z engineering activity of FareFirst to its business requirements. He closely works with the product team to make the right technology decisions to keep up with business needs. Vishal contributed to most of the engineering projects at FareFirst, including building most of the backend services, the initial version of the FareFirst customer website, and the initial version of the FareFirst customer android app. He used highly scalable serverless technologies to keep up with traffic and infrastructure cost. Vishal has a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Science from PA College of Engineering Mangalore. He also completed his +2 in Computer Science from Tagore Vidyaniketan Higher Secondary School, Taliparamba, and SSLC from St. Joseph's High School, Pushpagiri.
