Vishal Vinod is an ambitious MS CS student at UC San Diego with a specialization in Artificial Intelligence and Computer Vision. He is passionate about applied research and is actively seeking internships in Research Engineering, Applied Science, and Data Science for the summer of 2022. With a strong background in Deep Learning architectures at scale, Vishal has worked with some of the most renowned organizations in the field, including Microsoft Research NYC, IIT-Bombay, IISc VAL, and Google Brain's TensorFlow team (GSoC '19 & '20). Vishal's expertise in the field of Computer Science is reflected in his extensive research work, which has been published in several academic journals. He is an avid scholar, and his work can be found on Google Scholar. Vishal's technical skills include Research Scientist, TensorFlow, Computer Vision, Deep Learning, Reinforcement Learning, and Data Science. Currently, Vishal is working as a Graduate Researcher at UC San Diego, where he is advised by Prof. Manmohan Krishna Chandraker. In his previous roles, Vishal has worked as an Independent Developer with the Real World Reinforcement Learning Team at Microsoft Research NYC, where he implemented efficient feature transformation reductions without re-deploying the source for Vowpal Wabbit. He has also worked as a Research Assistant at the Video Analytics Lab at Indian Institute of Science, where he conducted research on photorealistic multi-domain dataset translation for extreme-weather degradation to aid in the adaptation of autonomous vehicles to adverse weather. Vishal holds a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of California, which he is expected to complete in December 2023. He also holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Science from Vishveshwaraiah Technological University, which he completed in December 2020. Before that, he completed high school in PCMB from CMR National Public School in December 2016. With 0.52 years of relevant experience, Vishal is a highly motivated individual with a passion for research and a proven track record of success in the field of Computer Science. He is an excellent communicator and collaborator, and his technical skills and expertise make him an asset to any team.
