Vishesh Tanksale is a highly skilled software engineer with over 7 years of relevant experience. He is currently working at Apple as a software engineer, where he is responsible for developing and implementing various software solutions. Vishesh is proficient in Kubernetes, KubeVirt, AWS, and Java, and has a proven track record of delivering high-quality software solutions. Prior to joining Apple, Vishesh worked at Nvidia as a Sr. Software Engineer, Cloud Platform, where he designed and implemented K8s Device Plugin to expose GPUs to be used by Kubevirt VMs in Passthrough and Virtual Mode. He also implemented GPU support for Kubevirt VMs and contributed this to upstream Kubevirt. Vishesh presented a talk about GPU support for Kubevirt VMs at Kubecon-2019 USA and designed and implemented qcow2 disk support for Kubevirt VMs. He also implemented a solution to create K8s secrets using the secrets stored in Vault and designed and implemented performance classes for Kubevirt VMs. Prior to Nvidia, Vishesh worked at Tintri as a Sr. Member of Technical Staff, where he was responsible for implementing REST APIs for Tintri Cloud Connector to backup Tintri Appliance to public cloud services like AWS. He also developed a system management module using Java to manage the lifecycle of a Tintri VM snapshot in public cloud and remodeled the system management component to identify VMs management by Tintri Appliance across multiple hypervisor managers. Vishesh delivered features and enhancements related to VM replication across multiple Tintri Appliance for Tintri OS and actively worked with the support team to help resolve multiple critical customer found defects. He also mentored an intern to design and develop a Site Disaster Recovery solution. Vishesh holds a Master's Degree in Computer Science from Indiana University and a Bachelor of Engineering in Information Technology from Maharashtra Institute of Technology. He is highly proficient in his tech stack and is always eager to learn new technologies.
