Vishnu G K is a highly experienced Senior Software Engineer Java with over 11 years of relevant experience in diverse technologies in the field of application enhancement, migration, and upgrade activities tied with production support operations. He possesses ITIL knowledge and has the confidence to take up any application with any technology. Currently, he is working as a Senior Software Engineer Java at Wipro, where he is a team lead and lead developer on Java-based applications, focused mainly on Java 8, Spring Boot, Hibernate, Oracle, shell scripting, and implementation of various server technologies like WAS, Tomcat, JOSS, etc. Prior to his current role, Vishnu has worked as a Senior Java Software Engineer at Xerox, supporting a list of in-house applications in multiple technologies varying from shell scripting to Java, CGI, Perl, etc. His main responsibility was being the aim focal communication point with business, gathering the requirements or issues they have, scoping the effort, as well as working on the fix/development. Technologies involved were Java, PLSQL, and shell scripting. He has also worked as a Software Engineer at Hewlett Packard, where he was assigned to the Vodafone Corporate Online (VCO) and Intranet applications of Vodafone project. Here, he was responsible for monitoring and maintaining all the servers and the site/pages. He also supported the test and staging servers, looked at the logs, and resolved/created tickets. He was basically into L2 work with some L3 bug fixes and minor enhancements of less than 120 hours in nature. The intranet was basically based on windows servers (IIS) and consisted of 100+ applications based out of Java and .NET. Vishnu holds a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Computer Science from the University of Kerala, completed in 2012. His tech stack includes Java, Software Engineer, Spring Boot, Spring, and test.
