Vishwanath Raman is a highly skilled software engineer with over 5 years of experience in the industry. He has a strong interest in computer graphics, computational biology, machine learning, graphics, medical devices, and the healthcare industry, as well as hardware development. Currently, he is working as a Software Engineer at Sterling Medical Devices, where he has developed front-end and back-end applications using C# WPF and the MVVM architecture for clinical trials. He has also performed static analysis and unit testing on a native C code base using SciTools Understand and Tessy 4.0. Vishwanath has prepared documents required for 510(k) submissions to the FDA using company guidelines and followed agile development using Polarion. In his previous role as a Software Engineer at Baxter International Inc., Vishwanath developed software for the SIGMA Spectrum Infusion Pump and created a GUI for pump interface using C# WPF and LINQ. He automated software test procedures using C# for Master Drug Library Editor (MDL) and debugged and developed WiFi protocols (TCP/UDP) for pump interaction. He followed agile development using JIRA. Vishwanath has also worked as a Research Assistant at Rochester Institute of Technology, where he contributed to the publication that stemmed from the research project titled "Dynamic Functional Assessment of Hand Motion Using an Animation Glove: The Effect of Stenosing Tenosynovitis." He helped run the CyberGlove II for capturing joint velocities and range of motion of hands, to treat carpal tunnel syndrome and trigger finger, using Qt. He wrote scripts as required to run and record the CyberGlove MoCap software and interacted with doctors from the University of Rochester and CyberGlove to decide requirements and feasibility using Qt, C++, and Python. Vishwanath holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from Rochester Institute of Technology and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Mumbai.
