Vishwas Damle is a senior software developer with over 6 years of experience in developing web and mobile apps, as well as large scale distributed backend systems in agile teams. He is passionate about writing clean and beautiful code, putting good engineering practices at appropriate use, and thinking about great designs and architecture. Apart from development, Vishwas is usually involved in working closely with the business and stakeholders to drive tech efforts towards business goals. He also built the entire repayments stack from scratch, which enabled growing needs of complex integrations of new gateways at scale to deliver on business priorities of improving repayment metrics, reducing collections cost. Additionally, Vishwas led the consumer applications team and worked towards planning and delivering features keeping business KPIs at the center and enhancing the effectiveness of the delivery team. He built and productionized delinquency model and real-time fraud detection model from scratch and built sophisticated circuit breakers to enable performing growth experiments while containing risk. Prior to his role at Simpl, Vishwas worked as an Application Developer (Senior Consultant) at ThoughtWorks. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) in Computer Science from Pune Institute of Computer Technology.
