Vishwesh Nath is an accomplished Applied Research Scientist specializing in Medical Imaging and Deep Learning. He currently works at NVIDIA, where he utilizes his expertise in statistical analysis, diffusion MRI, and medical image processing to develop innovative solutions for the healthcare industry. With over 4 years of relevant experience, Vishwesh has a strong background in computer science, having obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Computer Science from Vanderbilt University in 2020. He also holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from Vanderbilt University and a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Manipal Institute of Technology. During his time at Vanderbilt University, Vishwesh worked as a Graduate Research Assistant, where he was involved in several groundbreaking projects. He led the development of multiple deep learning algorithms for harmonization of MRI data across multiple sites, pioneered algorithms that depict untapped information present in diffusion signal using histology-based truth, and designed algorithms that can predict 3D microstructure based on a 2D microscopic histology image. He also hosted a challenge where 9 teams across all continents contributed a total of 46 tractography algorithms and co-organized VoTEM where three sub-challenges were held, with a total number of 11 teams and 170 algorithms. As an Applied Research Scientist at NVIDIA, Vishwesh continues to demonstrate his expertise in Deep Learning, Image Processing, and Research Science. He is an innovative problem solver, a team player, and a skilled communicator.
