Viswanathan Balakrishnan is a passionate and results-driven business-technology leader with over 23 years of experience in global product planning and management, product and technical marketing, engineering, and sales execution of enterprise solutions. He has a solid technical background and has instilled new ideas into products and solutions to the markets. He has a sustained record of success in building and leading teams, working across engineering, marketing, and field involving product planning and definition by harmonizing short-term and long-term strategy/goals. Viswanathan has developed intimate relationships with worldwide large enterprise, federal, mid-market segment customers through cross-functional group collaboration across organizations and regions. He is the conduit across engineering, sales, field, customers, and partners alike in defining products and solutions in solving complex problems providing enriched business value through IT and digital transformation solutions. Viswanathan is extremely excited about leveraging technology to build and deliver products and solutions that simplify customer lives and reach the full potential for their businesses. His specialties include product planning and management, product marketing, requirements definition (MRD/PRD), roadmap development, people development, mentoring, driving strategy, hybrid cloud management, analyst presentations, customer presentations, sales training, and sales enablement. Currently, Viswanathan is a Senior Consultant/Director/Product Management Leader at Dell, where he is responsible for Hybrid Cloud Management. He has previously worked at Dell as a Global Product Manager - Enterprise Software Solutions, where he had end-to-end global responsibility for a part of the portfolio of server management products involving planning, product management, engineering, and product marketing of Dell's Enterprise Systems Management – OpenManage Suite of Products. He has also worked at HCL as a Member Technical Staff, where he was involved in engineering, sustaining/incremental development, and validation of Cisco Networking Products. Viswanathan holds a Master of Science in Computer Technology from Coimbatore Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Applied Sciences - Computer Technology from the same institution. He is currently pursuing an Executive MBA from the University of Michigan, which he is expected to complete in 2024. Viswanathan's tech stack includes product manager, research scientist, and software engineer.
