Vivek Agarwal is a skilled DevOps Engineer with over 7 years of relevant experience in the field. He currently works at Ciena, where he is responsible for designing, implementing, and scaling Kubernetes deployment using Rancher and Kubeadm, as well as creating automated continuous integration and system deployment tools using Python, Ansible, Json, Bash scripts with Jenkins & Ansible playbook. Vivek has also developed CI/CD and integration tools using open source systems to fit the developers & production needs. Prior to his current role, Vivek worked at Amdocs as a DevOps Engineer, where he was part of the R&D team responsible for the design, development, and delivery of Amdocs ONAP on Openstack on customer premises. He also deployed Amdocs ONAP of development and staging sites, designed the CICD setup for ONAP components development on-premises environment, and implemented Infrastructure as Code using Terraform automation and infrastructure provisioning on Openstack. Vivek also has experience in creating virtualization and hypervisors (KVM, VMWare, AWS, Azure) and infra on OpenStack (RH, Centos) in architecture prospective & hands-on automated installations using Kola Ansible installer. In addition, Vivek has worked as a Cloud and DevOps Consultant at Infosys, where he was involved in automation along the complete software lifecycle using CI CD tools to build, test, application packaging, and deploying into various environments (DEV, TEST, PRE-PROD, PROD). He also created templates and jobs in Jenkins for different scrum teams, wrote shell and Groovy Scripts to make jobs more dynamic using Jenkins templates, and integrated various tools like Nexus, Git, AppScan, SonarQube, NexusIQ using Jenkins plugins.
