Vivek Das is an experienced Storage QE Release Lead with over 11 years of expertise in the field. He is currently working at Red Hat as an RHGS QE Release Lead, where he is responsible for the ISTQB certification of testers, the SQE RH Openshift Container Storage, and the SAMBA qe component owner. Vivek has extensive knowledge in Kubernetes, SMB, CIFS, NFS, file system protocols, and testing experience in CIFS and SMB protocol. He also has hands-on experience with Red Hat Gluster Storage Software and Openshift Container Storage, Active Directory Integration, and CTDB configuration. Vivek has a proven track record of contributing to Python DistAF framework at Red Hat and has experience in the Antivirus and Security domain. He is a Python developer who constantly seeks the most concise and efficient way to write code with a critical eye on complexity, size, and readability. He has the ability to analyze and understand complex systems, take them apart, and put them back together again, only better, and with fewer lines of code. Vivek has worked with different flavors of Unix & Linux (RHEL, SLES, OEL, Solaris, AIX) and Windows server (Window 2003, Window 2008), Windows 7, 8, 8.1, 10. He has also been associated with GlusterFs & Samba automation team. In his past role as SAMBA QE & Automation Developer at Red Hat, he was responsible for testing CIFS & SMB protocol, hands-on experience on Red Hat Gluster Storage Software, Active Directory Integration, CTDB configuration, and Volume Snapshots, Quota, and Test Packaging System. Prior to joining Red Hat, Vivek worked as a Senior Software Developer at Wipro, where he was a hard-core Python developer responsible for developing AutoBot framework in Python and had knowledge of WitBe tool. Vivek completed his schooling from DAV Public School. He is proficient in TechStack like test, Python, Integration, qa, SDET, Kubernetes, Software Engineer, Ansible, Jenkins, and UI.
