Vivek Gagrani is a Computer Science and Engineering graduate with over 3.9 years of experience in the telecommunication industry. He has a strong background in C, Data Structures, Algorithms, Linux, and OS Internals. Vivek also possesses good knowledge of DOCSIS technologies, L2/L3 networking, and IPv4/IPv6 protocols. His expertise in both Control Plane and Data Plane has enabled him to deliver various features from scratch, such as ADP (Arris Discovery Protocol), MLDv2, and L2TP for their Remote-Phy Device. Currently, Vivek works as an Embedded Software Engineer at Cisco, where he is involved in the design and development of BFD component on various IOS XR network OS supported platforms, including ncs540, ncs560, RSP4, ncs5500, etc. Prior to his role at Cisco, Vivek worked as a Software Engineer at Arris, where he was responsible for the design and development of the Remote PHY (R-PHY). He developed several features from scratch for R-PHY and designed the Arris Discovery Protocol (ADP) state machine and DHCP state machine for R-PHY. He also implemented various features from scratch, such as MLDv2, L2TP, and EventMgr. Vivek started his career as a Trainee at Matins Technology, where he worked closely with both designers and engineers to create new UI components and improve their existing framework. He holds a Post Graduate Diploma in System Software Development from c-dac and a Bachelor of Technology (BTech) in Computer Science from B K Birla Institute of Engineering & Technology, Pilani. In addition to his technical skills, Vivek is a skilled Software Engineer with expertise in iOS and UI. He has relevant experience of 5.35 years in the industry.
