Vivek Garg is an accomplished engineer and founder with a proven track record of managing teams, developing new products, and building and operating large-scale software platforms. Currently serving as the VP of Engineering at TaxBit, Vivek has previously held leadership positions at Facebook and Microsoft, where he led the hyper-growth of Messenger video chat, validated early-stage ideas in the calendar and productivity space, and built and deployed experiments for Bing's DevOps team. Vivek's expertise in the tech industry extends beyond his work at large corporations. He has also co-founded several small-scale startups, where he validated ideas around peer-to-peer renting, geo-tracking, itinerary building, and short-form video content. With almost 20 years of relevant experience, Vivek is well-versed in senior software engineering, DevOps, and search technologies. Vivek is passionate about customer satisfaction and enjoys working with highly passionate individuals. He believes in the upstart mentality that goes into scaling a startup and brings this ethos to every project he oversees. Vivek is also an angel investor and runs a small fund that invests in early-stage founders. Vivek holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from Texas A&M University and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology.
