Vivek Kale is a Pega CSSA certified Team Lead currently working at Crochet Technologies, a Bits in Glass company. With over 11 years of relevant experience, he has worked with several companies in the past, including Infosys and Yupptv, where he held the positions of Consultant and Senior Software Engineer, respectively. At Infosys, Vivek worked on developing a Microservices-based Identity and Access Management solution in Scala. He was responsible for developing the Authorize service and worked on Token generation flows for OAuth2.0 Grant Types using Play Framework. He also worked on the implementation of Authentication service - Single Sign-On with session management, and was involved in the implementation of Admin Micro-service for client registration using Akka. He provided RESTful interfaces for these services, used Akka Actors for asynchronous flow and scalability, and used Cassandra for persistency and SOLR for query and search. He also used Gatling for measuring performance. At Yupptv, Vivek worked on Rivulet, a multi-tenant platform for websites of various TV channels. He used his skills in Scala, Akka, Spray, Slick, Akka HTTP, PostgreSQL, and Spark to develop the platform. Rivulet enabled TV channels to have a website that would show live-TV, catchup videos, have various packages, do the payments, perform social logins, and have an Admin portal using which the client can add contents to generate a package, get revenue reports, and perform data analysis. Vivek holds a BE IT degree from Savitribai Phule Pune University and a PGCBM from XLRI. His tech stack includes Microservices, Cassandra, AWS, Scala, Docker, Jenkins, Search, Software Engineer, and Spark.
