Vivek Kaushal is a passionate engineer and software developer with a keen interest in creating simple solutions at the forefront of technology that make life easier for people. He has a strong background in UX/UI design and development, which allows him to create effective and user-friendly applications. Vivek graduated from IIIT Hyderabad with an MS and B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering in 2021, where he focused his research on Human Computer Interaction at the Cognitive Sciences Lab. He also spent time as a visiting research student in Economics at the National Taiwan University in Taipei. Currently, Vivek works as a Software Engineer at Enterpret, where he is building the next generation of consumer feedback technology. Prior to this, he worked as a Senior Engineer at Samsung's Data Intelligence Lab, where he built the Demand Side Platform (DSP) for Samsung Ads. He has also worked as a Backend Engineer at Skillbee, where he reduced response time by 40% for app-facing APIs by refactoring backend services in Node (NestJS) and PostgreSQL. Additionally, he created a microservice to deliver custom notifications to 150,000 users, resulting in a 28% fall in monthly user drop-off. He also led the development and production deployment of a Deep Learning-based document verification microservice, which improved the CV relevance on the platform from 65% to 93%. Vivek's education history includes a B.Tech with MS by Research in Computer Science and Engineering and Cognitive Neuroscience from IIIT Hyderabad, a Visiting Research Student in Behavioural Economics from National Taiwan University, and a High School Diploma in Science with Information Practices from St. Michael's High School in India.
