Vivek Kumar is a Technical Analyst, Investor, and ex-Infoscian with a strong background in Electronics and Communications Engineering. He has a proven track record of working as a data science practitioner with experience in artificial intelligence and big data tech stacks. Vivek has a keen interest in the use of machine learning (ML) for time series forecasting and has focused his attention on the retail, finance, and marketing domains. His current role as a Derivatives Trader at the National Stock Exchange of India Limited involves following price action and pivot points practice while applying several ML models on NIFTY FUT. He has found that prices driven by emotions are not easy to predict, and his work in this area has not yielded the desired results. Prior to his current role, Vivek worked as a Senior System Engineer at Infosys, where he built models for feedback sentiment analysis and automated essay scoring of new recruits. He also developed an automated ML certification platform, both in Python and R, for data science recruits. Vivek trained three juniors on their lagging areas of ML and respective technology stacks and developed several courses on Python, R, machine learning, and deep learning. He automated the process of creating images for data science courses, which reduced the manual load drastically. Vivek has a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Electronics, and Communications Engineering from Uttarakhand Technical University and was a Research Trainee in the same field at Delhi University. He also has relevant experience in ML, data science, Python, big data, sentiment analysis, deep learning, Kubernetes, and GCP. In total, he has 6.86 years of relevant experience.
