Vivek Kushwaha is a seasoned Principal Engineer with over 12 years of professional experience in designing, building, innovating and scaling web-technologies, infrastructure, server-side applications and services at product-based internet companies in diverse domains like recruitment, fin-tech, e-commerce, and legal industry. Currently, he is working at Ocrolus as a Principal Engineer, where he is responsible for leading the development and implementation of web-based solutions and services. Vivek has worked on almost every layer of web-stack, on-premise infrastructure & cloud services (AWS & GCP) that his team uses. He has also worked on profiling, benchmarking, and query optimization (MySQL & MongoDB) and caching at various layers (db, application template, APIs, full response, Akamai CDN). He has also (re)designed various components for scalability, performance & high-availability, built a suggestion service on top of a massive (0.5B vertices, 1.5B edges) graph database (Neo4J), and scaled mail delivery system (on-premise using postfix relays as well as AWS SES on cloud). Additionally, he has expertise in web security (WAF), email security (SPF, DKIM, DMARC), general system & network security, and has coordinated with third-party vendors/service providers for support and services. Vivek's past experience includes working as a Staff Software Engineer at Ocrolus and a Systems Architect at HT Media Ltd. During his tenure at both companies, he played a pivotal role in developing and implementing web-based solutions and services. He has also convinced businesses on the feasibility and cost-effectiveness of technology solution(s). Vivek holds a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) degree in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur. He has a diverse tech stack that includes Web, Senior Software Engineer, infra, AWS, Software Engineer, Neo4j, MySQL, MongoDB, and GCP.
