Vivek Lakshmanan is a highly skilled software professional with a proven track record in architecting innovative, high-performance systems. With a passion for all things technical and geeky, Vivek specializes in cloud/container computing, storage virtualization, systems software development, distributed systems, and security. Currently serving as a Staff Software Engineer at Pulumi Corporation, Vivek has previously worked with the Allen Institute for Artificial Intelligence (AI2) and Palantir Technologies. At AI2, Vivek was involved in building scale-out infrastructure using Kubernetes to accelerate cutting-edge AI and machine learning research. At Palantir, he was one of the first members in Seattle and was responsible for building critical analytics/Big Data platforms. He has also built wide-ranging solutions in domains such as cyber security and logistics for Fortune 100 companies. Vivek has an M.Sc. in Computer Science from the University of Toronto and a B.Sc. (H) in Computer Science (Specialization) from the University of Toronto Mississauga. He also attended Cambridge School in Delhi. With over 13 years of relevant experience, Vivek's tech stack includes software engineering, senior software engineering, ML, AI, Kubernetes, research scientist, infra, and Big Data.
