Vivek Mittal is a Lead Software Engineer at Redbus with over 6 years of relevant experience in the field of software development and data engineering. He is currently working as a Data Engineer at Dunnhumby where he has contributed to the SAS to Pyspark migration of various client data solutions across teams. He manages ETL pipelines on BDA and GCP and works closely with Data Analysts to resolve their queries and brainstorm on new solutions. In his previous role as a Software Engineer at Dunnhumby, Vivek actively contributed to the development of tools that enabled the standardization and quick deployment of client data solutions. He also documented best practices and standards, enabling consistency in the development work of various client data solution teams. He deployed CI pipelines across multiple projects on Gitlab. Prior to this, he worked as a Software Engineer at Whitehat Jr. Vivek holds a Master of Technology (MTech) degree in Control and Instrumentation from DTU and a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) degree in Instrumentation and Control Engineering from Dr B R Ambedkar National Institute of Technology, Jalandhar. He completed his schooling from Maheshwari Public School, Ajmer. Vivek has a strong technical background in Software Engineering, Data Engineering, Apache Airflow, Docker, SQL, ETL, GCP, Jupyter, HDFS, Big Data, Redis, Javascript, MySQL, infra, and Apache Hive.
